Bryn :: Aconcagua

A Central American country? No. A member of the lizard family? No. A James Bond villain? No.

Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Americas, the Western Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere.

At 22,841 feet, Aconcagua is the second highest of the Seven Summits, 3000 feet higher than Kilimanjaro and 4000 feet below Mount Everest.

From what I’ve read it seems entirely climbable, it is regarded as the highest trekking peak in the world and can be climbed by those without roped climbing experience. The trip lasts 19 days.

I fancy it.

Any takers?
